False Accusations

False accusation is extremely damaging because it casts a bad light on a person's name and can cause perpetual damage to a person's reputation, career and relationships. Proverbs 6:16,19 says, "...the LORD hates... a false witness who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers." False accusation is a really manifestation of the enemy of our soul, the accuser of the brethren.

The false accuser can, without any facts, take cheap shots by spreading lies simply by word of mouth or via the internet without being easily exposed themselves. And by pointing the finger at others, the false accuser can temporarily direct attention away from themselves and any of their actions, in a sense, hiding behind their lies at the expense of another's reputation.

I have been falsely accused and it has damaged my relationships and career. Someone who has never even met me or made an effort to find out the truth about me has spread ridiculous false accusations and lies about me online.

These are indeed cheap shots used to destroy.

Anyone who has ever been attacked by false accusations and lies knows how difficult this can be to overcome. I believe that being falsely accused is one of the worst trials someone can go through. If you have ever been falsely accused, you definitely have my sympathy and compassion.

Fortunately, lies get exposed and God is our strong defender who knows how to advocate for us. God is our defender and the truth is our best defense.

My prayer for the falsely accused: Father please comfort and encourage those who are being falsely accused. Remind them that just as the world rejected and falsely accused your perfect Son, they will reject and falsely accuse those who love you and belong to you. Give them peace through your word and bring to their remembrance that you are for them. Send encouragers who are for them to help them in their difficult ordeal. Speedily bring the truth to light and cast down the

false accusations and lies. However you can, bring about a good result in this

awful time of trial. Bless them for trusting in you through all that they are going through in Jesus name, amen.
