About
A few words...
Before I give you a bio about myself as an Artist. Let me tell you what I am most passion about: Jesus & my Family. My number one priority in life is Jesus, my wife and 10 children. My wife and I chose the ministry of adoption and we were blessed with 10 beautiful children through the miracle of adoption. My family is my ministry and it's an honor to serve them, protect them, and lay my life down for them daily. Jesus & my family are my inspiration! My first ministry is around my dinner table to Jesus, my wife, and kids. My second ministry is having the honor of ministering, housing & serving vulnerable children in two countries. We get to introduce the Heavenly Father to the fatherless. We train up the once called orphans in the ways of the Lord, so they can be statistic breakers and usher the revivals across the nations. We remind them that they are chosen, worthy, loved, and have been adopted into the Kingdom of Heaven. We invite the fatherless to have a seat at our table, so we can introduce them to their Heavenly Father and feed them physically & spiritually.
My love for drawing began at age three, drawing Z's all over my parent's house pretending to be Zorro. I've been drawing and painting ever since. I would draw for hours and hours getting lost in the joy of turning a white sheet of paper into a world I imagined.
I excelled in art all through school continuing to grow my skills in drawing and painting, earning A's in art classes in high school, Sacramento City College, San Francisco State University and Art Center College of Design, selling art and winning awards along the way.
I found inspiration from great artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, N. C. Wyeth, Norman Rockwell, Arthur Guptill, and personal instruction by Jim Lamb, Greg Kondos, Larry Welden and Robert Bechtle and others but especially God's artistry in creation.
I've had illustration published nationally and sold watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, pastel and charcoal artwork privately. I also have freelanced in illustration and sold commissioned portraits and landscapes.
I really enjoy teaching art to all ages and have taught privately, at a home school, grades 1-12 in a private school, to vulnerable children, and helping foster and adopted children with music and art therapy.
Other passions include the Gospel, sticking up for the underdog, worship music, living a healthy lifestyle, and water skiing. My favorite motivation is from the Artist of artists God my Heavenly Father. He gave me the talents I have and bringing glory to His name through my abilities is my joy and desire!
